Edzard Ernst, M.D. is a frequent critic of homeopathy in the European and American press.  Interestingly - it turns out the man has never studied homeopathy nor does he understandits basic tenets.  Sadly, business interests seeking to destroy homeopathy disseminate his work as if it is reliable.  Check out this article:http://www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org/content/edzard-ernst-critic-of-homeopathy-exposed

Facts matter… and here are the facts for homeopathy:

Homeopathy is a 200-year-old system of medicine used successfully by over 250 million patients worldwide. It has a laudable and extensively documented clinical record and there is a large number of high quality, peer-reviewed basic science, pre-clinical and clinical studies showing it works. For more information on this system and the extensive research supporting efficacy, please visit the National Center for Homeopathy Research section.

Two new published small scale studies show promise for patients seeking help with hemophilia and atopic dermatitis.

In the first study, 28 patients with severe to moderate hemophilia were treated in a single blind placebo trial to see if the health of the patients improved.  This study demonstrated that in this group, homeopathic treatment did reduce the need for clotting factor concentrates.  Given the cost of these concentrates - homeopathy offers hope for improving health and reducing the cost of care.  A larger study is recommended.

In the second study, 42 patients with atopic dermatitis were treated homeopathically.  Sixty-six percent of these patients had moderate to serve dermatitis at time of treatment.  The study confirms other studies suggesting that in a general medical practice setting, homeopathic treatment could be regarded as an effective choice for patients with atopic dermatitis.

Another major breakthrough for homeopathy!  A landmark Health Technology Assessment (HTA) report on the effectiveness, appropriateness, safety and costs of homeopathy in health care has just been published by the Swiss Government.  An HTA is an established scientific analysis which examines not only the efficacy of a particular modality, but also its effectiveness in clinical settings, its appropriateness, its safety and economy.  As a result, HTAs are far wider in scope and provide more information than many other studies.

This Swiss Government’s HTA Report concludes there is sufficient evidence to recommend homeopathy for its effectiveness, safety and economy compared with conventional treatment.

Are The Treatments of Modern Medicine Effective?

Read This Shocking News

The British Medical Journal (BMJ) is one of the most revered journals of modern conventional medicine.  In a 2007 paper, the authors of a study looking at the evidence for a host of medical treatments made a shocking discovery…  There is little reliable evidence to argue for most of the top medical treatments routinely used by conventional docs.

This data was published in the “The British Medical Journal’s “Clinical Evidence” (BMJ, 2007). The authors reviewed approximately 2,500 treatments and found:

  • 13 percent were found to be beneficial
  • 23 percent were likely to be beneficial
  • Eight percent were as likely to be harmful as beneficial
  • Six percent were unlikely to be beneficial
  • Four percent were likely to be harmful or ineffective.
  • 46 percent were unknown whether they were efficacious or harmful”

Now if you are part of the homeopathic community - you probably realize that the allopathic community attacks homeopathy with great regularity for “insufficient evidence”… ignoring the significant number of high quality studies showing that homeopathy works (http://www.nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org/articles-research).    Sad but true…  Dare to know.

Ok… You Have Your Home Remedy Kit - Now What??

In a previous post, we provided a list of some of the most important and useful remedies to have in a home remedy kit.  Now that you know what you need - how do you use them when a loved one is ill?

The key to successfully choosing a homeopathic remedy to relieve your son, daughter, husband, or wife lies in carefully questioning your “patient” and observing your patient to find the most characteristic symptoms they are experiencing.

By characteristic - what do we mean?

A characteristic symptom is one that is a departure from the normal state, is intense, and peculiar.  Also pay close attention to what makes your “patient’s” symptoms better or worse.  Are they better from standing, or cold air, or from drinking, or in the morning, etc.  What makes them worse?

With as much information as you can gather - now compare your patient’s characteristic symptoms with those produced by remedies.  Match the characteristics of the patient with those of a remedy (”like cures like”) and your patient will enjoy a nice recovery.  There a number of books that provide the details of remedy characteristics.  More on that later.

Drug Companies Called Out On Conflicts of Interest

Not only are the big pharmaceutical companies fighting hard to suppress homeopathy around the world - they have also been paying your conventional family doctor for speaking, entertainment, travel, consulting and “research”. Now the Obama Administration is requiring that drug companies reveal these blatant conflicts of interest…

In Texas alone in the last two year, 25,000 allopathic doctors have received a combined $57 million in cash payments, research money, free meals, travel and other perks, from the big drug companies - according to data provided by the nonprofit investigative news organization ProPublica.

It is little wonder big pharma wants to destroy homeopathy…. imagine what would happen to profits if people relied on safe and effective drugs made from very small doses of naturally occurring substances.  But think about it… the drug companies have also been supplementing the income of millions doctors all over the world - with the intention of influencing the prescription choices doctors make.  No wonder our healthcare system is broken….

According to a recent study released by the Chamber of Commerce of India (ASSOCHAM), the world homoeopathy market is a $5.35 billion dollar market and growing at a rapid annual rate. If one multiplies $5.35 billion by just 1.25% annually, without adjustment for inflation, one gets a $1.1 trillion dollar global market by 2035…

Little wonder business interest committed to other forms of medicine are working so hard to destroy homeopathy.  A healthcare revolution has started…
